On April 28, 1999, Tri-Net Narcotic Task Force served 3 search warrants in Carson City and arrested 6 people. On Wednesday morning, at 10:00 a.m., Task Force Investigators served a search and arrest warrant at 1420 Edmonds Drive #1 arresting Gary Grinker, age 42, unemployed. Grinker was charged with Sales of Methamphetamine. During the search of Grinker's residence, investigators located drug paraphernalia, a customer list and seized approximately $700.00 in cash. Grinker was booked into the Carson City Jail with a bail of $20,000.00.
After receiving numerous phone calls from neighbors relaying information of possible drug activity occurring at 600 Hot Springs Road, #85, Task Force Investigators obtained a search warrant which was served at approximately 3:00 p.m. Investigators located 1 pound of marijuana and 5 1/2 grams of methamphetamine. Arrested were Magdalena Ramirez, age 35, unemployed, and her 16 year old son. Magdalena Ramirez was charged with Trafficking of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine for Sale, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Sales of Marijuana and Child Endangerment. Magdalena Ramirez was booked into the Carson City Jail with a bail of $80,000.00. Ramirez' 16 year old son is being charged with Trafficking of Methamphetamine, Sales of Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana and Methamphetamine for Sale. Ramirez' son was booked into the Carson City Juvenile Detention Center.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., Tri-Net Narcotic Task Force, with the assistance of Carson City Sheriff's Office, served a search warrant at 3190 Dale Drive in Carson City locating 10 people within the residence. During the search, with the assistance of Carson City Sheriff's Office canine "Scout," investigators located over 1 pound of Methamphetamine packaged for sale, over $24,000.00 in cash, 6 guns and items used to weigh and package drugs. Arrested were Ismael Hernandez-Segura, age 28, for 2 outstanding traffic warrants, Aurillo Nava, age 35, charged with Trafficking of Methamphetamine and Victor Orozco-Vargas, age 29, unemployed, charged with Sales of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine for Sales, Trafficking of Methamphetamine, two counts, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a House for Drug Sales and Child Endangerment. Orozco-Vargas was booked into the Carson City Jail on a Bail of $250,000.00. Both Orozco-Vargas and Nava are being held for Immigration. Lieutenant Steve Albertsen of Tri-Net Narcotic Task Force stated, "Orozco-Vargas has been a significant supplier of drugs in this area and has been under investigation by Tri-Net Narcotic Task Force for over a year."
